What is PAS 9980:2022 and a FRAEW?

PAS 9980:2022 is a standard for the management of fire safety in the design, construction and operation of buildings in the United Kingdom. The standard provides guidelines for the use of cladding materials on buildings to ensure they are fire safe. The guidance allows us to produce a FRAEW (Fire Risk Appraisal External Wall), which sits alongside your buildings Fire Risk Assessment. The FRAEW report will highlight any deficiencies within the buildings external wall make up, alongside any positive attributes, allowing the responsible person to conduct the required remedial works, where needed, to bring the building to a tolerable risk level.
